I thought maybe I should take a minute to introduce myself in some way—lots of folks have joined my art cult signed up for my newsletter recently and maybe you want to know something about the person doing all the pen and penciling? I prefer communicating visually, so my offer is a few words and mostly images of varying sorts. Think of it as if you came over to my house and started rummaging through the stuff on my coffee table.
(this post is too long for email—view in your browser to see all the silly little pics i’ve included.)
I’ve been really plumbing the depths lately. Of my interior self. Of the ~cosmos~. Of what it means to step into the little rippling stream that is the world in this moment, flowing past me. Idk. Maybe i’m just at a certain point in my life.
anyway, part of this dive has found me getting reacquainted with some of the various iterations of myself that came before. Old notebooks, sketchbooks, photos—the whole, very often cringey, physical archive of my past.
but it wasn’t all so terribly embarrassing, and I think some of it would like to breathe for a moment. So i’ll leave them here. These tender little relics.
